I am a PhD student under the co-supervision of Prof Julie Harris and Dr Akira O’Connor. My project focuses on quantifying why warning coloration (e.g., stripes, spots) deters predators. We will use psychophysical experimentation and computer vision methods to understand what makes a pattern conspicuous and memorable.
